La Parva, Chile

Favored by the Santiago elite, La Parva is the place to be seen in Tres Valles. It is also the place to test your meddle in steep couloirs, like La Chimenea, rip long high speed cruisers, and reap the spoils of untracked powder bowls. La Parva’s northerly facing terrain basks in the sun making for great spring corn skiing conditions and a vibrant deck scene. Greatly influenced by French alpine tradition La Parva offers a very Alps-like feel with numerous lodges to duck into for a hot drink, a frothy Pisco Sour or a steaming bowl of goulash.

La Parva’s on-piste terrain spreads out below the massive La Parva and Cerro Plomo summits. Steep cliff bands at the crest of the mountain offer a variety of intriguing terrain features. Accessed via a short hike, La Chimenea’s 50 degree entrance into a tight, 1000 foot rock walled couloir will excite the most extreme appetite. McConkey’s Bowl is one of the most visible lines in Tres Valles and there is no better way to bask in your own personal ski glory and celebrate your day than on one of La Parva’s sun decks. After racking up thousands of feet of vertical, brilliant Andean sunsets illuminate La Parva’s slopes in a mosaic of brightly colored alpenglow.
